Reducing metal-ion mediated adsorption of acidic peptides in RPLC-based assays using hybrid silica chromatographic surfaces

摘要
•Acidic peptides exhibit metal-induced peak tailing values up to Tf=5.86.•Hybrid silica columns effectively reduce peak tailing (Tf = 5.86 vs. Tf = 1.13) for acidic peptides.•Hybrid silica columns increased MS response (up to 200-fold) of acidic peptides.•Nominal peak tailing values (Tf ≤ 1.2) were observed using a hybrid silica column.
