2D Amphiphilic Amorphous photoreactors, with two components of rich-sulfur MoS2+x and deficient-oxygen MoO3-y to selectively chemisorb and activate N2 and H2O molecules, produce ammonia by gas-phase nitrogen fixation at room temperature and normal pressure.
