摘要

•Effect of TiCN on processing and properties ZrB2-based ceramics were studied.•After sintering, (Zr,Ti)B2 and ZrCN were formed instead of initial ZrB2 and TiCN.•Addition of SiC resulted in a more homogeneous and finer microstructure.•Nano-indentation technique was used for measuring the mechanical properties.
