摘要

•The relation between working status and ischemic stroke has rarely been studied.•We researched the impact of regular employment (RE) on ischemic stroke.•Patients with RE were more likely to have a hyper-acute ischemic stroke on Monday.•However, RE before stroke onset appears to have a positive impact on outcome.•These findings could be valuable to promote work style reform.
