•The expression of FUNDC1 reached its peak 12 h after ICH.•FUNDC1 siRNA aggravates ICH-induced brain injury, while inhibit mitophagy.•Mitophagy specific inhibitor(mdivi-1) aggravates the inflammatory response after ICH.•FUNDC1 overexpression alleviates ICH-induced inflammation, and mdivi-1 reverses this response.
