•This study summarized the mortality of lung cancer patients and other tumors patients complicated by COVID-19.•The global mortality showed no significant difference.•The mortality of developed countries (USA, France, Spain, Brazil and Italy) showed significant difference.•The mortality of developing country (China) showed no significant difference.
