Study of the Elemental Composition of Bronze Statues from the Collection of the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts

The paper presents the results of studying 17 bronze statues from the collections of the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts. Analysis of the alloy composition by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry allowed to determine the basic composition of the metal and micro- and trace impurities. Comparison of the compositional data with exhibits of known authenticity, as well as with the literature data, made it possible to refine the time periods of the statues’ production.
