Welfare and safety measure towards women waste pickers under local self government

Substantial people in India are working as unorganized workers in unorganized sectors, “the transitional nature of the Indian economy, the gap in education, skills and training are all key factors which lead to such a high number of workers in a region most vulnerable to exogenous economic problems in India”. The study recommended weekly health checks, outdoor events, therapy, encouragement and awareness-raising activities. Government action supporting non-profit organizations is very important, as seen in this report, to improve the quality of work life of women in unorganized sectors.
