Will Flat Optics Appear In Everyday Life Anytime Soon?

Flat optical components based on metasurfaces will appear in our daily life in the near future. Our discussion focuses on metasurface-based components consisting of sub-wavelength spaced dielectric nanostructures in the optical region.
