摘要

•Anatase TiO2 microspheres doped with rare-earth were prepared by one-step method.•It takes only several minutes to obtain well-dispersed rare-earth doped crystalline TiO2 microspheres.•The method is surfactant-free and no calcination is involved in the whole process.
