Modeling dynamic magnetostriction of amorphous core materials based on Jiles–Atherton theory for finite element simulations

•The interdependency between magnetization and magnetostriction is presented.•The magnetostriction effect of amorphous material is correctly simulated.•An explicit way of parameter identification from measurement result is introduced.•The proposed model can be readily incorporated FEM simulations.
