摘要

•We validated the PHQ-9 in adults with dissociative seizures (DS).•For adults with DS the PHQ-9 has high internal consistency.•Factor Analysis indicated one main factor for the PHQ-9.•We suggest a cutoff of ≥13 on PHQ-9 for depression screening in people with DS.•Comorbidities may increase the risk of over-diagnosing depression in adults with DS.
