Optimization of image sampling rate to lower the radiation dose of dynamic myocardial CT perfusion

摘要
Dynamic myocardial CT perfusion (CTP) has emerged as a new method for combined anatomic and functional evaluation of coronary artery disease in a single modality. However, a disadvantage of dynamic CTP is the applied radiation dose. This paper reports that dynamic CTP using a sampling strategy of one volume for every second heartbeat can produce results similar to a protocol using every beat. This is crucial information when trying to lower the radiation dose without affecting robustness of results.Image 1
