摘要

•Rhodamine-labeled MCH neurons were identified in several nuclei.•Uptake of MCH in vivo is a MCHR-1- and clathrin-dependent process.•Neurons, not astrocytes, uptaked rhodamine-labeled MCH.•MCH fibers were in close proximity to rhodamine-labeled MCH neurons.•Rhodamine-labeled MCH is an effective tool to study the MCH system in vivo.
