Interpretation of the JANUS Phase 7 shielding experiment with TRIPOLI-4® and quantification of uncertainties due to nuclear data

•An interpretation of the JANUS Phase 7 neutron shielding experiment is performed.•A reference Monte-Carlo code as well as several nuclear data libraries are used.•Reaction rates discrepancies between ND libraries are highlighted and explained.•A sensitivity analysisis performed to understand the observed discrepancies.•Dosimetry reaction rates uncertainties to nuclear data are computed.•Most discrepancies can be explained by the high nuclear data uncertainties (>20%).
