摘要

•Citric acid glucose were used as a new and effective leachate combination for extracting Mn and Li from waste LIBs.•New LiMn2O4 were synthesized from the leaching solution through a sol-gel process.•The LiMn2O4 sample calcined in 650 °C and 750 °C has high crystallinity, good dispersion and excellent electrochemical properties.
