Modeling and evaluation of nickel manganese cobalt based Li-ion storage for stationary applications

摘要
•Electrical modeling of two Li-ion cell chemistries: NMC and LiFePO4 was performed using modified Shepherd equation.•The operation of NMC based Li-ion chemistry was evaluated for a stationary uninterruptible power supply (UPS) application.•The 2RC model was used to perform the evaluation of cells.•A real charge/discharge pattern of a UPS system is taken with an average daily outage of up to 6 hrs.•A comparison between the life and cost of Li-ion intervention is made in comparison with a conventionally used lead-acid battery.
