In-situ observation of S/L interface migration and mechanical property increase of Inconel 600 alloy prepared by electromagnetic levitation

•Dendritic growth velocity increases as a double exponential function with undercooling.•Mechanisms of solidified microstructure and texture evolution.•Annealing twins exist only when ΔT > 130 K.•The yield strength is evidently improved at large undercooling.
