Interfacial conditions between a free-fluid region and a porous medium

摘要
•New interfacial condition between free-fluid and porous regions are proposed on the base of homogenization theory.•Proposed interfacial condition extends the classical Beavers and Joseph condition.•Coefficients involved in the fluid-porous matching condition are computed by solving the Stokes-like microscopic problems.•Proposed condition is tested on two macroscopic cases and compared successfully to feature-resolving simulations.•The case of significant fluid infiltration within the porous medium is also presented and compared.
