Robotic Left Hemicolectomy Utilizing All Three Robotic Arms - A Video Vignette

Robotic surgery continues to gain popularity as the primary technique for achieving minimally invasive colorectal surgery. In this video vignette, we describe our technique of robotic left hemicolectomy utilizing all three robotic arms in a patient with early-stage colon cancer. A 5mm 30-degree laparoscope was utilized for the purpose of making this video to capture the movements of the third robotic arm; usually used for retraction. The use of all three robotic arms allows for ease of dissection, offering one of the fundamental principles of surgery, traction and counter-traction, along with maintaining excellent exposure.
