PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a virtual platform created for one or more distributed virtual switches to use it for virtual networking.SOLUTION: A distributed virtual switch provides, even if a virtual machine and a physical machine are not arranged on the same physical host and/or the same sub-net or VLAN, them with a function to communicate with each other simpler, safer and more efficiently. The distributed virtual switch supports integration with a conventional IP network, and supports notification of workload shift to complicated IP technology including NAT functionality, a stateful firewall and an IP network. The virtual platform manages and/or uses a VLAN or tunnel (for example, GRE) in order to create a distributed virtual switch for a network while operating in the network using an existing switch and router.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
