Storage media sections with alternative cells

In one implementation, a system comprises a controller coupled to the plurality of storage media sections. In that implementation, the controller is, in response to an insertion request, to select a target cell from a first level of cells, identify a second level of cells when the target cell is occupied, and insert entry data of the insertion request into the target cell. Further in that implementation, the controller comprises circuitry to, in response to a retrieval request, allow parallel lookup into each of the plurality of storage media sections based on a plurality of indices derived from a lookup key.
