To provide a position detection method of an autonomous vehicle, a position detection apparatus of the autonomous vehicle, and a computer readable storage medium, which can accurately determine size information of a target thread image, and accurately determine a position of the autonomous vehicle on the basis of the size information of the target thread image and preset coordinate system map information.SOLUTION: A position detection method of an autonomous vehicle, a position detection apparatus of the autonomous vehicle, and a computer readable storage medium identify an obtained first visual perception image of the autonomous vehicle on the basis of an underlying neural network layer in a slender convolution kernel neural network model to determine feature information of a target thread image, and identify the feature information of the target thread image by using a high-level neural network layer in the slender convolution kernel neural network model to determine size information of the target thread image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
