The influence of ancillary NCS− ions on structural, spectroscopic, magnetic and biological properties of copper(II) l-argininato complex

摘要
•The crystals of rare hexa−coordinated l−argininato copper(II) complex have been synthesized.•The architecture and properties of complex 1 are affected by ancillary NCS− ions.•Field induced slow magnetic relaxation is observed, despite the lack of zero-field splitting of Cu(II) monomeric (S = 1/2).•Complex has shown comparable inhibitory efficacy against the dermatophytes to fluconazole.
