Engaging Medical Students in the Virtual, Socially Distant Era of the Covid-19 Pandemic: Online Radiology Resources Worth Exploring

Due to substantial technological advances over the last century, medical imaging has played an expanding and central role in medicine, influencing nearly every aspect of clinical care, from detecting disease to guiding clinical decision-making and delivering therapies. However, despite its ubiquitous presence in patient care, medical students’ exposure to radiology is strikingly underrepresented within the medical school curriculum, with only 16% of United States medical schools providing a mandatory radiology clerkship (1).
