摘要
A 38-year-old woman who had undergone 3 previous surgical interventions for left atrial myxoma removal was referred to our Heart Failure Unit for heart transplantation evaluation due to unresectable recurrent cardiac myxoma. She presented with chest pain and dyspnea on mild exertion. Transthoracic echocardiography showed a 4.9- × 3.0-cm hyperechoic mass attached to the ventricular (LV) side of the posterior mitral leaflet and another of 3.0 × 2.7 cm on apical portion of the lateral wall of the LV (Figure 1), associated with severe mitral regurgitation and LV dilatation.
