摘要

•Six distinct MRI brain phenotypes were found in older patients scheduled for surgery.•A combined analysis of brain MRI markers could reflect delirium predisposition.•A multi-burden brain pathology phenotype shows a higher odds of developing delirium.•MRI brain phenotypes could assist in the understanding of predisposition to delirium.
