摘要

•CTSB can activate the NLRP3 inflammatory pathway and promote the inflammation and injury of AP pancreas.•We revealed the presence of pancreatic cell pyroptosis in AP and its potential molecular mechanism.•This study suggested that CTSB and caspase-1 may be potential therapeutic targets in the treatment of AP.
