Shuddering attacks in children: A retrospective analysis of 19 cases from a single-center in Turkey

•Shuddering attacks (SA) are nonepileptic, paroxysmal, fast, and short motor events.•Shuddering attacks usually start during the 4th–6th months of life.•Mostly first teething is six months; last teething is between 24–30 months.•It is noteworthy that the shuddering attack period coincides with the teething period.•Video-EEG is recommended to prevent misdiagnosis in nonepileptic paroxysmal events.
