摘要
•A tetrabutylammonium bromide (TBABr) assisted Stöber method was developed for preparation of monodisperse silica particles.•Size of the silica particles increased from 0.39 to 1.08 μm while concentration of TBABr was elevated from 0 to 20 mM.•Surface properties of the particles were tailorable by changing length of alkyl chains in the quaternary ammonium agents.
