Preparation of 90 Y by a 90 Sr- 90 Y chromatographic generator using combined columns containing Sr resin and DGA resin for radionuclide therapy

We developed and tested a 90 Sr/ 90 Y generator that using combined columns containing Sr resin and DGA resin. The chromatographic columns were fabricated and then packed with resin contents. Optimization of the columns based on HNO 3 and HCl media carried out. The results showed that the value of 90 Y with respect to 90 Sr for final product was 5 × 10 6 with a high efficiency of separation (> 99%). The results suggested that the separation of 90 Y by the combined Sr/DGA resin columns have a potential to reach high radionuclide purity suitable for radiopharmaceuticals preparation based on peptides, antibodies and particulates labeled with 90 Y.
