Investigation of the giant magneto-impedance effect of single crystalline YIG based on the ferromagnetic resonance effect

•The ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) dominate giant magneto-impedance (GMI) effect is investigated.•The GMI ratio of single crystalline double-sided YIG film can reach 256%, corresponding to a magnetic respense as 8.8%/Oe.•Smaller resonance field is observed in thin films than spheres due to the larger shape anisotropy.
