摘要
Synotis jinshajiangensis (Asteraceae: Senecioneae), a new species from southwestern Sichuan and northwestern Yunnan, China, is illustrated and described. This species is most closely similar to S. cappa in habit and shape of leaves and inflorescences, but is distinct by its smaller involucies, absence of ray florets, and fewer phyllaries and disk florets. It is also related to S. glomerata in habit and number of phyllaries, but differs by its loose compound corymbs or thyrses. A distribution map and a key to S. jinshajiangensis and its related species are provided.
