摘要

•A 105 W continuous-wave (CW) diode-pumped Tm:YAP slab laser operating at room temperature is reported.•The beam quality factors M2 at the highest output power are 2.76 and 2.78 in the x and y directions, respectively.•A theoretical model is presented to predict the characteristics of the hundred-watt-level Tm:YAP laser.
