Variability in utilization of diagnostic imaging tests in patients with symptomatic peripheral artery disease

•Significant practice variation exist in ordering additional imaging for symptomatic peripheral artery disease across healthcare centers as well as countries.•Future studies are needed to investigate whether use of certain diagnostic imaging modalities over another differentially impacts the choice of treatment and outcomes as it relates to treating patients with PAD.
