摘要
Piebaldism is characterized by congenital poliosis (white hair) and leukoderma (patches of white skin), mainly located on the scalp, mid-forehead, anterior trunk and central extremities. Severe piebaldism is a disfiguring disease that severely compromises quality of life. In the past, people of African heritage who displayed striking contrast of skin color were called "zebra people", and were one of many types of people exhibited in the circuses of the 18 and early 19 centuries . Here we report on a rare case of severe piebaldism that showed an extensive spontaneous restoration of leukoderma over the course of the patient' life.
