摘要
Preeclampsia (PE) is a common disorder in pregnancy that constitutes one of the leading causes of maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality. Some medical disorders may imitate severe preeclampsia, entity known as a preeclampsia-like syndrome. We report a case of a 31 weeks pregnant woman who developed severe new-onset hypertension, proteinuria and increased liver enzymes. In the case under examination, angiogenic factors were essential to discard preeclampsia diagnosis, leading to the diagnosis of a new-onset ovarian cancer FIGO (International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics) stage IIIC. Clinical manifestations receded after surgical treatment. To our knowledge, this is the first report of a preeclampsia-like syndrome secondary to ovarian cancer.
