A Self-Organising Multi-Agent Knowledge Base

Service-oriented architectures are often deployed in highly dynamic domains like Fog Computing. In such environments, centralised registries would introduce a bottleneck. We present the design of a self-organised, multi-agent-based distributed knowledge base. It supports non-monotonic reasoning, storage of semantically annotated knowledge, ontology-like queries, and fault-tolerance of partial failures of the system. Experiments with a prototype show its viability.
