Boundary pressure projection for partitioned solution of fluid-structure interaction with incompressible Dirichlet fluid domains

•We solve the incompressibility dilemma in Dirichlet-Neumann decompositions of partitioned FSI.•An intermediate pressure projection determines the unknown constant pressure modes and projects velocities.•The method extends naturally to multiple, coupled Dirichlet regions.
