摘要

•A green and economic method to fabricate 3D large-sized SiC nanowire aerogels was developed.•A foam green body like bread containing starch and Si powders was prepared.•Starch and Si were used as carbon and silicon source, respectively.•The obtained SNA exhibited ultralow density, excellent high-temperature stability, and ultralow thermal conductivity.
