摘要

•Catalytic ketonization of levoglucosan over nano-CeO2 was studied.•High selectivity of ketones was obtained over the catalysis of CeO2.•Linear compounds dominated the ketone products.•Loading 5% ZrO2 on CeO2 further enhanced the ketonization activity.•Reaction mechanism was proposed.
