摘要
Bus voltage stability is a crucial concern of medium-voltage DC (MVDC) power systems, because the presence of the negative incremental resistance of constant power load. This paper proposes a generation control system design approach, beginning with the reduced-order model and moving to stability analysis, state-feedback adaptive control method design and simulation implementation. A MVDC power system is studied with a reduced-order model that can capture the dominant dynamic behavior in a reduced-order nonlinear differential equation. A second-order linear differential equation for stability analysis of the system is established, which achieves the linear small signal approximation via Taylor expansion in an operating point. Then, a state-feedback adaptive control method developed in this paper can be applied to obtain a desired pole placement. Numerous simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed generation control system.
