摘要

•XRD of synthesized phosphor is compared with standard ICSD database and crystal structure was determined by Reitveld refinement.•Photoluminescence characterization of proposed sample shows broad emission with peak centered in blue region.•This phosphor shows intermediate coupling scheme.•Accurate modeling of emission spectra using the obtained EVI parameters justifies the obtained EVI parameters.
