摘要

•Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) rates are significantly high in T2DM patients.•The association of CAD susceptibility genetic variants at 9p21 has not been investigated in the Arabian population.•This study may not support the notion of a critical role for 9p21 locus as T2DM with CAD risk in UAE population.
