Indonesian Vocational School in Software Engineering and Digital Creative Industries

The emerging software industry in Indonesia leads more to the digital creative industry, which is an industry that combines digital elements and creative elements on their products and services. This type of industry is generally the result of information technology products that can be a solution to the problem of everyday life. This paper aims at exploring the role of vocational schools in Indonesia\u0027s software engineering and digital industry. A survey is carried out to observe the students\u0027 condition after graduation. The finding shows that the difference between the students\u0027 and required technological and employability skills should be more exposed.\r\nKeywords: vocational schools, software engineering, digital creative industries, technical skills, employability skills
