Effects of Supplemental Irrigation on Water and Nitrogen Use, Yield, and Kernel Quality of Peanut under Nitrogen-Supplied Conditions

•Supplemental irrigation greatly promoted nitrogen transformation from the leaves into the pods.•Supplemental irrigation increased the risk of nitrogen moving deeper into the soil but improved the absorption of soil nitrogen by peanut plants.•Supplemental irrigation decreased amino acid content, while 40 kg ha-1 N significantly increased it.
