Experimental study and preliminary economic evaluation of enzymatic biodiesel production by an integrated process using co-products from palm (Elaeais guineensis Jaquim) industry

•Use of three co-products from palm industry to produce biodiesel by enzymatic route.•Ethyl ester content similar for the non-commercial and commercial lipase (73–78 %).•Biocatalyst humidity had great influence on the productivities and ester yields.•Economic assessment showed 25 $. kg−1 for the dry fermented solid sale prices.•Better productivity/price for the dry fermented solid compared with Lipozyme RM IM.
