Selecting key wavelengths of hyperspectral imagine for nondestructive classification of moldy peanuts using ensemble classifier

•NIR-HSI can be used for nondestructive and rapid identification of moldy peanuts.•A combination of GA and SPA was used to select sensitive bands about mildew.•A multispectral imaging system was development to identify moldy peanuts.•Ensemble classifier can improve the identification accuracy.•The distribution maps of moldy peanuts were generated.
