Mwsn Equipped With Dynamic Positioning For Water Environment Monitoring

Developing WSN with mobile sink (mWSN) for online water monitoring is suitable to be applied in the rivers and lakes where there rarely require manual maintenance. This paper proposed an improved data collecting protocol for WSN with mobile sink, and also explored how to utilize a kind of movable ship to support WSN with mobile sink. Based on random walk and trail-based packet forwarding, an improved TRAIL protocol is proposed in order to decreasing multi-hop number through introducing appropriate control overhead. According to the requirement of mobile sink node, ship equipped with propulsion system is used to support the mobility of mobile sink node. Through combination of decoupling and fuzzy control method, ship motion in desired patterns is realized in order to satisfy the requirement of mobile sink node. The simulations are separately done in order to demonstrate the performance of improved TRAIL protocol for mWSN and effectiveness of control algorithm for ship motion.
