IMAX+ camera prototype as a teaching resource for calibration and image processing using FPGA devices

摘要
This work presents a prototype camera that has been used in a research project and is intended to be used as a teaching resource. The most relevant parts of the instrument are an image sensor and an Artix-7 FPGA. The development of the camera firmware in the FPGA has several items concerning the design methodology based on this technology. Thus, the possibility of using this prototype as a teaching resource constitutes an opportunity for students to learn FPGA technology with a real and current device developed for a leading astrophysical mission.
